Lincoln 1920 - present: Lincoln was founded by former GM executive Leland (founder of Cadillac) to build aviation engines during the Great War. He soon turned to luxury cars but the company was already taken over by Ford in 1922. All models were impressive, well-built and of attractive design. From the time of President Coolidge Lincolns became the cars preferred by the White House.
