Back in 1937, due to economic depression, the Maserati brothers were forced to sell their company including the rights to the use of their name. it wasn’t until ten years later that they started a new company named ‘Officine Specializzate Costruzioni Automobili - Fratelli Maserati SpA‘. Thus the OSCA was born, launching the Maserati brothers into their greatest commercial success. A few years later the Italian coachbuilder Viotti created a Sports Coupé, based on the Fiat drive train and powered by O.S.C.A. with their famous 1491 DOHC engine. Only twelve were produced in this specification and this 1958 Fiat O.S.C.A . might well be the only one left. It will be offered by Coys at their Techno Classica Auction on April 10th.
