Shipped new to Jaguar Cars New York, this car was repatriated to the UK some years ago & then subjected to a full thorough & detailed nut & bolt restoration by noted Marque Specialist Pat Twinly of PT Automotive Engineering, completed this year.
A massive history & photographic file comes with the car & also a photo book detailing the fastidious restoration that was undertaken. The result is close to perfection. The car is painted in Jaguar Primrose yellow with flawless new paintwork thoughout. To the interior is black hide along with black carpets. Pleasingly the original black leather seats have been retained piped in grey & are in super order.
This is a car that has covered a scant 61,000 miles since new & it drives like it. Indeed It was commented upon by the restorer Mr Pat Twinly that it was possibly the best driving E type he had ever experienced; quite an accolade from a man who has driven & worked upon hundereds of such cars.
The car sits on triple laced chrome wire wheels with slightly wider then stock rubber mounted to them improving both the handling & the ride whislt being unobtrusive. Take time to browse though the myriad pictures which will give you an idea of the amazing detail that has gone into this car.
