33. TECHNO-CLASSICA ESSEN 2023 – The Classic World Show from 12* to 16 April 2023

Essen, March 2023. The TECHNO-CLASSICA is throwing open its doors in Essen for the 33rd time from 12 to 16 April 2023. The show is regarded as the role model for all oldtimer fairs and enjoys a unique international reputation. This year, organiser S.I.H.A. is again anticipating around 1,250 exhibitors from more than 30 countries. Manufacturers, dealers and clubs will contribute more than 2,700 collectors’ automobiles to TECHNO-CLASSICA.
A number of major anniversaries are being celebrated in 2023:

• 100 years of MG
• 75 years of Porsche
• 75 years of Citroën 2CV – the Duck
• 70 years of Corvette
• 60 years of Mercedes-Benz 600
• 60 years of Mercedes-Benz 230 SL Pagoda
• 60 years of Lamborghini (S.I.H.A. special exhibition)
• 50 years of BMW 2002 turbo
• 50 years of Volkswagen Passat

Major appearances of world-famous and exclusive brands Autostadt is also there, joining Audi, Škoda, Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Volkswagen Classic Parts on a stand measuring around 1,400 square metres. Porsche and Ferrari will also be represented. Mercedes-Benz Classic has announced some exceptional exhibits. In addition, fans themselves will also have an opportunity to take a ride in a classic Mercedes- Benz, thanks to an initiative by the clubs.
The show will host more than 200 of these clubs. Their fabulous commitment sets the scene for historic models of many marques. They include BMW and Fiat, Ford and Opel, and naturally Japanese manufacturers. The public will be able to marvel at a new edition of the “Citroën Road”.

Crème de la crème of international oldtimer dealers
TECHNO-CLASSICA has an illustrious history as an important trading place for oldtimer, classic and prestige automobiles, racing cars and motorcycles. It’s therefore no surprise that 2023 will once again witness the presence of the crème de la crème of international dealers and leading auction houses. The unique quality brought together here is particularly impressive.

Alongside the historic vehicles, TECHNO-CLASSICA presents lots of exciting topics from the sector. Major automobile clubs and insurers are present. Automobile fandom can also discover a wide range of replacement parts and publications alongside automobilia and lifestyle items. The International Road of Automobile Artistry, Artists’ Road for short, yields lots of insights into the work of talented specialists. TECHNO-CLASSICA is also delighted to provide broad support for two non-profit, charitable initiatives, social-housing charity Lebenshilfe Gießen with its unique oldtimer donation campaign and children’s heart-disease charity Stiftung Kinderherz.

Much-coveted prizes will be there again. In the Concours d’Elegance, an expert jury will award the Best of Show. The contest for the Club Grand Prix – awarded to the most impressive club stand at TECHNO-CLASSICA – will be decided by a dedicated jury.
