The BMW M3 CS Touring represents one of the most exciting and exclusive performance cars ever produced by BMW M. Combining the everyday practicality of the Touring bodyshell with the focused engineering of the acclaimed M3 CS, it was produced for only a short period in strictly limited numbers, with the UK understood to have received an allocation of around 100 examples. Unsurprisingly, demand far exceeded supply and the model is already regarded as one of the most collectible modern BMW M cars.

Compared with the standard M3 Competition Touring, the CS benefits from a comprehensive programme of weight-saving and performance enhancements. Power from the twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre ‘S58’ straight-six is increased to 550bhp, driving all four wheels, or just the rear wheels at the press of a button, through BMW's xDrive system and eight-speed M Steptronic transmission. Extensive use of carbon fibre includes the bonnet, front splitter, air intakes, mirror caps, rear diffuser, centre console and interior trim, while lightweight forged alloy wheels finished in distinctive Gold Bronze complete the unmistakable appearance. Revised engine mounts, bespoke chassis tuning, model-specific suspension, steering and differential settings, together with a titanium exhaust silencer, combine to deliver an even sharper and more focused driving experience.
