During a trip in Poland in 1991 we came across this curious automobile. It’s an F.S.O. (short for ‘Fabryka Samochodów Osobowych’), a make that was established in 1948 by the Polish government to get production restarted after WW II. This one is the ‘Syrena’ made from 1958 until 1964. “Ours” is the later model 102, powered by the East-German Wartburg engine.
