A Monday Mystery GT: (update: Peerless or Warwick?)

You may call us ignorant nincompoops, but we just don't recognise any automobile that comes along. And we thought we were quite at home in the around 1960 scene. Not so! Now take this enjoyable LHD with its UK registration: UGH409. It gave us special bodied Lotus or Bristol associations. And somewhere we have the feeling we have seen this car before, yet it won't slip back into memory. Note the small tailfins and the petrol fillercap under the side rear window. An extra sporty touch are the headlamp stone guards. However the white sidewalls speak another language. Given that and judging the house in the background this car coupe ended somewhere in the US. Well in few words  help us out.
