A sad car mystery (upd. Fiat Allemano 600 Accossato ?)

Car historian Eduard Hattuma is seeking your help with identifying this accident car. The newspaper clipping reporting about the death of a woman near Amsterdam is not dated. Yet it will help to know that the Dutch car registration NX-58-74 came out between 1953 and the end of 1956. We did not recognise the car, still we have the feeling we saw one of these before. We tried to Google on the small family of triclops cars but had no succs in that direction. The lack of a radiator grill suggests we're looking at a rear engined car. We wouldn't be surprised to find a Renault, Fiat or VW engine there. The bubble hubcaps are very VW-like. Adding this up to the long bend in a windy landscape we have som idea what may have happened. So we're looking forward to your response.
