By Toutatis! None of you knew what we were talking about, last week, as none of you rejoiced us with an answer to our car puzzle #118. Too difficult? It seems so. While we gave away country (the US), year (1968) and even its slogan 'The car you can’t have’. So no winner this time – over to the answer. This one, boys and girls, is the Formacar by a company named Marbon, which in itself was a subsidiary to multinational Borg-Warner. Since Marbon was there to promote B-W’s industrial plastics they decided to build a car using as many of their chemical products as possible. The Formacar became the ultimate showcase, using a 290ci V8 sourced from AMC and a remarkable amount of late-1960s Cycolac plastics. It certainly was a nicely shaped thing (here in colour along with more Marbon madness) but it is unknown whether the Marbon car survives - we guess you won't know either. New chances next week!
