An Arabian-American mystery motor

This picture has been in our files since ages and by now we think it’s about time to share it here. After all it’s Friday and you know we treat you to our now classic Friday Lady then. Referring Arabian-American Mystery: Aquanetta was a B-rated movie actress, born as Mildred Davenport in Ozone, Wyoming, in 1921. She died 2004 aged 83. She was nicknamed the "Venezualan Volcano" by Universal Studios but abandoned her film career after her marriage to car dealer Jack Ross in the late 1950s. They settled in Mesa, Arizona, where she appeared quite frequently in her husband's local dealership commercials on television. They divorced in the 1980s. She appeared in an impressive three-page spread in the August 24th, 1942, issue of Life magazine and was interviewed in Tom Weaver's book, "Science Fiction Stars and Horror Heroes" (McFarland & Co., 1991).
