Rick Nicolaas reports: "There is no better way to have your lunchtime sandwich than in a BMC. I spotted the owner of this BMC doing so yesterday in the Bankastraat, The Hague. I had a chat with him and he told me he is the owner of the "Van Kleef Jenever Museum" and he is using the BMC for transport. Also he told the BMC serviced in the Royal Air Force, during WW II."
Editor: Well-well-well, the Dutch gin museum guy either had too much of his own liquor or has a poor memory. As far as we know British Motor Corporation was an early fifties merger of Austin and Morris. So maybe the truck was post-war in service with the RAF, but during the war seems to trip over a timeline inconsistency. Still it is a very nice camper but we need a litle help to ID this gin-delivery. We think it is a 1962-ish Morris BMC. Yet maybe after a few sips of Dutch gin we come to other conclusions.
