‘Beaulieu is a Brexit-free zone’

A place where you can find an Austin Seven engine laying next to a lifesize pirate? Or an aero engined car standing next to a bookstall? Stalls with rusty junk that can hardly be recognized but still sell? Yes, there is only one place in Europe for this pleasure: Beaulieu!

Last weekend the famous Beaulieu International Autojumble took place and it was again one to remember. Not just because of the fantastic weather but also because of the brilliant ‘junk’ that we bought (yes, we purchased the pirate).

A hot item was the Brexit, but as one friend said: ‘Beaulieu is a Brexit-free zone’ and the many overseas numberplates made that clear. No-one knows what will happen next year and we have to wait for the definitely (no-)deal to see what the options will be to transport cars and parts. But let’s hope everyone is still welcome and is still coming to this fantastic event. We already marked it in our agenda for next year!
