Several weeks ago the news came of RM's take over of the Kruse Auction Park. This meant that at short notice RM had to reorganise the Auburn Auction for the upcoming Labour Day weekend. Next Wednesday, September 1st, the upgraded Auburn Auction Park will be open for a free public preview of the facility and the auction cars as it gears up for its inaugural ‘Auburn Fall Collector Car Auction’, scheduled for September 2-5, 2010. One of the cars that took our fancy was this rare 1953 Buick Skylark Convertible. Although based on the top-line Roadmaster few of the body panels were alike. The Skylark was introduced at GM’s 1952 Motorama and reached production for 1953 in celebration of Buick’s 50th Anniversary. Only 1690 Skylarks were made. (photos courtesy Auctions America by RM)
