Caption it: Tony Fall’s reconnaissances

This picture gave us some food for thought. It’s driver Tony Fall in overalls and looking to the camera in what has to be the 1973 Daily Mirror RAC rally, driven in and around York. Fall drove with Mike Wood as a co-driver (just visible on far right) but the duo didn’t finish due to an accident that year.

They drove under number 17 but there appears to be remarkably little photographic evidence of this entry. We couldn’t find any other than this particular picture.

It’s a brilliant shot never the less, and it gives an idea of what Fall and Wood were up to. We say: caption it!
