A square-section tubular frame, clad with a 2-door fiberglass saloon body, formed the basis of the four-seater Peerless GT. Engine, transmission, front suspension and controls of the Peerless car were Triumph TR3, whilst rear suspension was by leaf springs with a De Dion axle. In the twelve months following a successful Le Mans run in 1958 approximately 250 Peerless cars were sold, but a degree of roughness both in performance of the Peerless car and in detail finish thwarted the development of any lasting popularity. The sponsors had originally sold reconditioned American Peerless lorries after World War 1.
