Now that the daffodils and crocuses have bloomed, trees are turning green once more, and birds are singing again, it’s time to enjoy your classic car too. Spring has officially begun today, so the season is truly here.
These youngsters were already enjoying it many springs ago. In fact, these cars weren’t even considered classics when this photograph was taken—supposedly in 1972. We see an MGB GT, a Triumph Herald Estate, and a beach buggy, the latter likely a London-built Bugle, although it may be a copy, judging by the windscreen surround integrated into the body. Now, if the picture was indeed taken in 1972, the children’s ages would have been (left to right) 11, 15, 17, and 8. That makes it seem highly unlikely that they owned these vehicles themselves. Still, our source suggests exactly that—and it may well be true, as these siblings were not born into an average English family. The photo was taken on one of their estates, which offered plenty of space for some springtime motoring fun.
