What happend to the DKW Sport Special of Bart Mooij? It was the first restoration project in the family meant for his brother. The photo dates back to 1965. Base was a pre-war DKW F8 but the car had Auto Union makers badges on the body that was made in steel. Possibly hood and doors were skinned in alloy. The Dutch registration was BX-97-06, possibly a german import. It had a detachable hardtop and the sidescreens were in plexiglass. He sold it years later in favour of a Fiat Topolino before the restoration had started but now would love to see it back. Or at least hear what happened to the two-stroke roadster.
