Going through the generations

Around for almost forty years now is the BMW 5 Series. Before that time the BMW 1500, the BMW 1800 and the BMW 2000 had entered the market as the “New Range”, but in 1972 they were replaced by the newly designed 5 Series. Still going strong today and now entering its sixth generation. Shown here is the first generation 528.
