10th edition of InterClassics Brussels records best opening day ever

Press Release

The 10th edition of InterClassics Brussels kicked off today with exceptional strength. The organisation reports the best opening day ever. During this anniversary edition, InterClassics not only highlights the iconic V12 engine, but also presents a Formula 1 exhibition celebrating 75 years of F1. In addition, a technical programme is introduced for the first time, allowing driving schools and students to work live on classic cars on the show floor. Several cars have already changed hands, indicating strong market activity on the first day. This year, InterClassics Brussels once again brings together more than 800 cars and over 300 exhibitors at Brussels Expo.

Exhibitors see exceptionally strong edition
The successful start is confirmed by long-standing partners and exhibitors, who underline the quality and appeal of this anniversary edition.

Marreyt Classic Cars highlights the important role played by the central theme. Ruben Bosch, Sales Manager at Marreyt, explains: “The V12 theme is atypical and dares to step outside the classic comfort zone, but that is precisely what creates a surprisingly strong effect. You can feel that InterClassics consciously responds to what the audience expects. The new presentation formats and concepts, such as ‘The Symphony of Speed’, show that experimentation and refinement continue every year. The run-up to the show, including extensive national media attention, clearly shows that the 10th edition truly resonates.

Colombo & Co also experiences that this anniversary edition attracts an exceptionally engaged and focused audience. Co-owner Arthur Teerlynck explains: “We notice that the quality of the cars on display continues to rise year after year. This attracts an audience that really knows what it comes for. Several visitors have already told us they travelled to Brussels specifically to see one of our highlights. The Toyota 2000 GT convinced many visitors to buy a ticket as soon as they heard the car would be present. This is not only very rewarding for us, but also a clear signal: this edition strikes a chord with the audience, and interest is at an exceptionally high level.

At Autoworld Brussels, the national automobile museum, the same growth is observed. Julie Daene, Operational Manager, says: “Our collaboration is inspiring in both directions. For Autoworld, InterClassics traditionally marks the start of our end-of-year exhibition, this year ‘Mercedes: The Story of the Star’. And every time, we are struck by how many visitors show up. We have seen steady growth for years, and this anniversary edition again seems on track to become exceptionally strong. This confirms the reputation InterClassics has built over the years.

1973 Ferrari 365 GTS/4 crowned ‘Best of Show’
During the opening day, the InterClassics Brussels Awards were presented. The most prestigious prize, Best of Show, was awarded this year to the 1973 Ferrari 365 GTS/4 at the Gipimotor stand (stand 6.305). The award highlights the high level of the collection on display during this anniversary edition.
