Little by little the bird makes its nest. A hedge is fine but a Land Rover best!

Spring is in the air. Spring is everywhere. And in spring, nature is at its most creative. While people tidy up their gardens and dust off their cars for the first drives of the season, birds find the most unexpected places to build their nests. Like this clever little bird, who turned an abandoned Land Rover into a cozy home.

Tucked between the taillights—once meant to signal adventure—now lies a snug little nest. Twig by twig, leaf by leaf, carefully constructed. The perfect spot? For a bird, absolutely. Safe, dry, sheltered. And who knows—maybe even a touch nostalgic.

Nature isn’t fazed by rust or rubber. It finds its way, even into the forgotten corners of old vehicles. And maybe that’s exactly what this car needed: a new purpose, a new beginning.

This scene reminds us of the French saying: "Petit à petit, l’oiseau fait son nid"—“Little by little, the bird builds its nest.” And as a new saying goes: “A Land Rover is best.”

So next time you think, “Time to finally tow away that old wreck”—take a closer look. There might just be a tiny family living in the taillight.
