Monday Mystery Glass (UPDATE: traffic light viewer)

It looks like a dentist's tool but it really is something which needs to be stuck on a car. But to serve for what? It's not a mirror, just looks similar to one. One can look through the lense. But to what extent? It does not even offer any enlargment. Mathieu Cuppens has no idea. He ponders hopefully that it cannot be the case that it was in use to look at the ladies while cruising a boulevard... Sort of a sixties predecessor of Google's demised Glass.
