Not yet 18 and not on the Internet

When we were young, before sneaking into dad’s car, we fiddled with motorcycles. We did everything to get more power out of it and beat our friends and the police. Later we went into cars, tuning them and picking up girls. And now we are reading PreWarCar. We have grown up. So we think. And as grown-ups we complain about the youth. They are not interested in cars any more. The iPhone is their new tool, Facebook or Snapchat their new home.

Not so in the small town of Peveragno (Cuneo) in the Nord of Italy. During the RECCE of the Via Flaminia we came across many dozens of API three-wheelers. And they where racing the streets to their Sunday get-together. All of them highly modified by their young owners at the wheel. Some had turbo’s which where quoted as to do 100 km/h. One day they hope to make the step to cars. No not classic cars, well maybe a Delta Integrale then. Yes, we are getting old.
