A Roadside Rumble Repair

Every year in autumn Ton de Jong is taking out his E-type for a foreign trip. This year it was the Elzas in France to check the lovely often medieval villages and of course the Pinot Noir, the Riesling and Gewürztraminer. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy until at a certain point the 3.8 litre S1 started to develop an unpleasant rumble somewhere deep down below the trunk. Differential issue? He stopped in the middle of the vineyards and after a quick look through the inspection door he found one or two bolts had come loose. The man above however sent a Mr. Ander just passing with his fabulous never restored Mk VIIb. Not sure what they did exactly, but after exchanging tools, nuts and more both cars left off again and reached Colmar just in time for the 'happy hour'.

More about Mr. Ander in the dutch magazine Great British Cars year.4 nr.17, title:  "Low Profile, High Quality
