Flaming Rochdales at the Olympics

These days we are flooded with big sports events, the football, tennis, the cycling and now it's almost time for the Olympics. Preceding the games is of course bringing the torch from Olympia in Greece to London. The Rochdale Owners Club decided to greet the flame in the town of Rockdale and to escort the torch through the town centre in their Olympic models, which were named after the 1960 Games. What a great idea! The town of Rochdale, where the cars were made, is so proud of its motoring heritage that some years ago a fine sculpture of Rochdale Olympics was unveiled.
