At a scrapyard usually the most valuable cars or parts are kept in warehouses and thanks to that many cars are saved. Not often the general public is allowed to visit the warehouse, but this time we could enter and apart of the typical popular cars and trucks more or less old we found a totally unexpected 1960s coupe: A Fiat-Ghia 1500 GT. It was produced in limited quantities (846 in total according to Ghia1500GT.com), using the common Fiat 1500 4 cylinder engine.
This specific car was purchased by a wealthy argentinean who lived in Spain in the 60s. Despite its rarity this one is hard to rescue due to the bad general condition which you can spot in the photos: Body rusted everywhere, many important parts lost (including the windscreen) and even the interior is in need of a total restoration. With this poor prospect perhaps the only way to a salvation would be a racing career....but by seeing this photo of a restored Ghia wouldn´t that be a shame?
