Tandem for Two

Sometimes we wonder whether an item ends up in the right auction. Take for instance this tandem moped that is offered by Bonhams during their motorcycle auction on January 10 in Las Vegas. It's a moped made by Dutch manufacturer Eysink, who started in 1886 by building bicycles and made his first automobile in 1897. In total not more than 400 cars were made of which only one still remains. Today Eysink is better known for its motorcycle -and later moped- production, which was quite successful. Yet we think a tandem like the one offered here is totally European -even typical Dutch?- in feel and style and will not have very much appeal among US buyers. But we have been proved wrong before. Let's wait and see what happens.
