The next best Saab, or better?

As far we know, General Motors still has an extensively restored 1970 Saab Sonett III in their heritage collection and refuse to part with it. So here's the next best thing, a 1971 example of this marvel Saab sports car. Powered by the 1700cc German Ford V4 engine there was no longer a need for the big bulge in the bonnet, giving the fiberglass Saab a sleek appearance. But we must admit, access to the engine was severely limited! This very nice restored Sonett III will be offered on September 16 by Classic Motorcar Auctions during the Glenmoor Gathering Concours d'Elegance.
