To say that it created a sensation when introduced fifty years ago would be exaggerating a bit. Yet, like a good wine, some cars need a bit of time to be really appreciated. And that’s exactly what happened to Volvo’s Amazon Estate. Designed in the early sixties as a workhorse to haul large families or packages for the traveling salesman, over the years the ownership of an Amazon has become somewhat of an icon, a lifestyle perhaps. And so it should be. Happy 50th anniversary Amazon Estate!
