A Saab surrounded by some mystery

It’s usually winter when we think of Saabs. And then we come up with Friday Lady pictures like this. But snow and ice seem far away now, at least for us, so perhaps this picture is more fitting.

That’s a Saab 92 with its signature suicide doors, very convenient when a lady wants to step in or get out. It’s clear that the Saab 92 had to have this particular feature even before its typical shape came about — see this fascinating early design sketch by Sixten Sason.

We also wondered whether some of you might be able to shed a little light on the Friday Lady picture itself. The car has to be an early model, and the number 13 behind the windscreen perhaps suggests it was an entrant in a concours d’elegance? But then the setting is not very concours-like, with a cleaning lady (?) in the background. Could it be a film set or a fashion photo shoot? In that case, somebody might be able to identify the lady — a model or an actress?

DKW had the famous Romy Schneider to promote the early F91 and later the F93 models.
So probably SAAB took Ingrid Bergman by the hand
and put her to stand next to this SAAB 92...?
It's not rocket science you know ;-)
Cheers.
