A Baboon Mystery in Northern Rhodesia 1951 (update: Standard Eight, Austin Eight, Morris Eight ?)

Andre sends this picture and writes: "At the Livingstone Game Park in Northern Rhodesia, 1951. I'm not sure if this little tourer is post- or prewar, but can anybody possitively identify what car it is?"

Editor: Well, let's first identify the 'radiator- mascot'. Looks like a friendly baboon having a chat with the driver or copilot of the small convertible (it happens all the time in Zimbabwe). Regarding the car. We may be wrong but the instrumentation makes us think of Morris Eight.
