Over the years many models made by Citroën have proven themselves while being submitted to harsh cross-country drives. But probably the best has been the 2CV. Impecunious students as well as fully-equipped teams have used the little two-cylinder to cross the world. One of them was French photographer Pierre Duverger who in 1957 drove through South-Africa on a 17.000 kilometer long trip that lasted six months and included many adventures, from tornados and floods to an attack by an angry elephant. En route Pierre took some 4000 pictures, but this is the only photo we could find. And no mention whatsoever on the internet about his travels. What happened to all those photographs? Can you tell us more?
