Will your new Volvo make up to 3 million miles?

Yesterday Volvo proudly announced that a 1966 built Volvo P1800s touched the 3 million miles mark. A remarkable achievement. Hats off! In this respect it is sad Volvo no longer is producing a sportish coupe. After the P18oo which became famous in the hands of Simon Templar (The Saint) came the P1800 ES sports combi. Inspired by the ES came the 480ES in the mid eighties. And in the early 2000s came the C30, inspired on the 480ES with rudimentary similarities with the earlier ES models. We learned Volvo is planning the a new sports coupe for 2014. So that may be settled. Remains the question how long a post-sixties Volvo will last. As that is basically settled, one question remains. How long will a post-sixties Volvo last? We think the last record mileage Volvos  were from the 740-960 series. Let us know if you know about post 940-960 series that is past the 1.000.000 miles mark ? ( see: full press release release)
